Central Elementary School second graders learned about the Chinese New Year recently. The Year of the Snake began on January 29. Students made hats, lanterns, snakes, and red envelopes - all symbols of the Chinese New Year. One student shared her New Year's family traditions and gave her classmates red envelopes with two-dollar bills inside. The two-dollar bill symbolizes prosperity.

One of our Wildcats shared her family traditions and celebrations for Chinese New Year and brought in red envelopes for her classmates! Each envelope had a $2 bill in it.

First grade students in Mrs. Haussy’s class are reviewing place value and numbers to 120. They are working together to count by 10’s and 1’s from any given number, build models of numbers to 120, and put together place value puzzles. Keep up the great work, Wildcats!
Our talented Wildcats did a phenomenal job at the Talent Show! We are proud of the way they persevered through their nerves and loved every proud smile after the act was over!

It's National Bagel Day! Celebrate by making your own pepperoni and mozzarella pizza bagel for lunch!
Everyday after lunch and recess Miss Milano's class spends 5-10 minutes of mindful time. Students are able to relax and calm their bodies before beginning the second half of the day. They are encouraged to reflect on the morning and think of a goal for the afternoon.
